The PowerLine E Twin is a Class IV laser sub-system, comprising two solid-state laser markers. These two laser markers enable simultaneous and asynchronous marking of a single work piece or of multiple individual parts on panel-level, thus delivering double the effective marking speed of traditional, single laser based products. But, the operational complexity for controlling two independent lasers and scanners is all handled internally; the operator just sees a single, easy-to-use interface which seamlessly translates job specifications into the necessary internal operating instructions. The software also includes Matrix Object functionality; this enables efficient serialization of parts and offset correction data to properly place marks on arrays of products, such as multiple ICs at the wafer-level, in strips, or in handling trays.
PowerLine E Twin configurations increase throughput significantly by using two laser markers instead of one. In particular, a Twin consists of two laser markers that enable simultaneous and asynchronous marking of one workpiece by two co operating lasers. Throughput increases without a major redesign of the handling system or an extra marking station. It even allows retrofit of a Twin into handling systems originally designed for one laser marker only. The PowerLine Twin features softand hardware interfaces that are equivalent to the interfaces of a single laser marker. To the outside world a PowerLine E Twin is like a single laser marker – as easy to integrate and operate while featuring an enlarged marking field and doubled speed.
The PowerLine E Twin is designed to be an easily integrated, straightforward replacement for single laser markers. But, it avoids the cost of unnecessary duplication and utilizes only one power supply and chiller, and is mechanically configured with both lasers and scanners integrated into a single mechanical assembly.
